Dental health program

This Dental Health program serves the 150 IDPs, children and adults, residing in our 5 Ivano-Frankivsk region Shelter homes that were renovated by MoveUkraine.

Dental Health of Displaced Persons

  • Ensuring good living conditions for internally displaced persons (IDPs) keeps them here, in Ukraine, providing an opportunity to reduce the demographic risks in the country. Among these factors is healthcare, particularly in the field of dentistry. The charitable foundation MoveUkraine, in partnership with The Kalush City Dental Clinic, sponsored by our American anonymous donor “Borys” and The Dental Group "PORCELAIN", has launched the free "Dental Health Program”. It is designed for IDPs residing in 5 shelters arranged by MoveUkraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

  • The Russian-Ukrainian war changed irrevocably the lives of many people. Thousands of internally displaced persons (IDPs) appeared inside the country, who urgently needed shelter and care, which was difficult for Ukraine to cope with. Several charitable foundations, including MoveUkraine, have undertaken this noble mission. However, in addition to housing, there were also tasks of medical support of IDPs. The issue of providing free dental services was especially acute.

  • On November 10, 2023, MoveUkraine, in partnership with the Kalush Dental Сlinic and sponsored by our American anonymous donor “Borys” and the Ukrainian-Swiss dental clinic "PORCELAIN" (Kyiv), launched a dental health program for children and adults among the IDPs residing in shelters in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, renovated with the support of MoveUkraine. This urgently needed project will run until September 10, 2024.  It is fully consistent with the dental prevention and treatment program for IDP children and adults adopted by the Kalush City Dental Clinic for 2023.

  • According to the program, shelter residents receive free services, including check-up, diagnosis, and hygienic cleaning. Based on the checking up, dental care will be provided in the following categories: surgical dentistry, therapeutic dentistry, and pediatric dentistry (including orthodontics – the creation of orthodontic plates). Emergency dental care will be provided out of turn in case of acute patient pain. Planned dental care will be provided after agreement by the director of the institution based on the dentist's preliminary conclusion regarding the patient's treatment. Positive feedback has already been received from grateful patients among the displaced Ukrainians who have benefited from free dental care. Free dental treatment remains highly relevant for this category of citizens.

  • The support of IDPs holds significant social importance. The Ivano-Frankivsk region has warmly welcomed people from the east, providing shelters, medical assistance, demonstrating its support and belief in a common future.
