November 11, 2023, marked a significant celebration for our team and the residents of the MoveUkraine shelter in the village of Mostyshe, located in Ivano-Frankivsk region, as we celebrated the first anniversary of the opening of our first project.
This shelter is more than just a place providing temporary shelter for internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Kherson, Mykolaiiv, Kramatorsk, Severo-Donetsk, Mariupol, Berestove, etc. It is also a genuine home where an atmosphere of happiness and family warmth prevails. Its residents feel almost like locals, as they quickly adapted and integrated into the community. We are sincerely delighted to have created such a wonderful place where every inhabitant feels well and protected.
The festive table featured dishes made from vegetables grown in our Victory Garden, which has become a symbol of collective effort and care. Gifts for the shelter were carefully chosen with special love, undoubtedly creating an atmosphere of comfort and warmth.
It is remarkable how, despite difficulties and challenges, the residents managed to experience joy and gratitude for each day under the roof we created together. Amidst homesickness, news from the front, and anxieties, we watched them sharing moments of joy and support.
We are proud of our team, which has done incredible work in establishing this unique place, and express sincere thanks to our donors. Your support helps us create spaces where people can find the joy of life
again, even after losing everything valuable. Our mission continues, and we are grateful for every contribution to this journey of restoring dignity and peace for those who need our help.
