Training for rehabilitation specialists in partnership with MoveUkraine and Superhumans

A specialized training course for rehabilitation specialists from centers created and supported by MoveUkraine was held in Lviv. The event was organized by the foundation in partnership with the Superhumans team and was an important step in training specialists who help veterans restore their quality of life.

During the training, participants gained practical knowledge and learned about modern approaches in the following areas:

• Prosthetics:
• prosthesis selection;
• patient adaptation and support;
• individual solutions for different types of injuries.

Functional rehabilitation:

• mobility restoration;
• balance training;
• gait and coordination training.

Innovative technologies:

• exoskeletons;
• robotic trainers;
• use of virtual reality.

Special attention was paid to working with phantom pain, psychological support, and social integration of veterans. Such knowledge is particularly important because veterans need comprehensive rehabilitation — from physical recovery to psychological support and a return to a full life.

MoveUkraine organized this training to strengthen the team of specialists working with veterans in partner medical institutions in Ukraine.
