John Shmorhun, Founder and CEO of the MoveUkraine charitable foundation, and Patricia Shmorhun-Hawrylyshyn, Co-Founder of the foundation, were guests on the program “Pro holovne v detaliakh” (“The Main Things in Detail”) on Halychyna TV, where they spoke about the foundation’s achievements, the development of rehabilitation medicine, and plans for Ukraine’s recovery. During the interview, 2025 was described as a year of real change for MoveUkraine, as the foundation implemented a number of projects in medical rehabilitation, hospital modernization, and community support. In particular, they discussed the opening of the renovated rehabilitation department at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children’s Hospital, where young patients now have access to modern rehabilitation services. An important focus of MoveUkraine’s work remains the construction of rehabilitation centers in Verkhovyna and Kosiv, which will provide access to quality rehabilitation for veterans, children, and civilians affected by the war. The conversation also highlighted international support for long-term medical and social projects, as well as MoveUkraine’s plans for 2026, which include new initiatives in healthcare, social housing, and social integration, including projects in Dolyna and Staryi Lysets in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The interview became a conversation about trust, responsibility, and a strategic vision for Ukraine’s recovery through investment in rehabilitation and human capital.
