Victory Gardens: rehabilitation and integration

For the past two years, the charitable foundation MoveUkraine has been implementing a unique initiative – Victory Gardens. This program, initiated by American volunteer Dan Engle, aims to support internally displaced Ukrainians who lost everything due to the war and have found new homes in shelters renovated by MoveUkraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

The main goal of the program is not only to create green areas for recreation but also to activate the process of socialization within the new community and support interaction among IDPs in the shelters. Victory Gardens have become a symbol of renewal and hope, where every garden and flowerbed echoes the desire to restore peaceful life and community.
Volunteer Dan Engle emphasizes the importance of this project as a symbol of collective action and harmony restoration. He actively contributes not only to the physical greening of the area but also to the psychological rehabilitation and self-expression of internally displaced people. Each garden and flowerbed is created with love and care, embodying hope for the future.

Victory Gardens are not just places for relaxation but also platforms for sharing experiences, learning, and mutual support. They unite hearts and help resettled individuals find a new place where every bush and every flower becomes a symbol of new beginnings and boundless hope.

Victory Gardens are a joint initiative that proves that even in difficult times, it is possible to find beauty and strength in restoration.
