Suspilne Ternopil Television has released a story about the work of our charitable foundation MoveUkraine and how it all began. The video tells about the founders – John Shmorhun, a U.S. Navy veteran, and Patricia Shmorhun, a Swiss-Ukrainian entrepreneur – who have remained in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war to support people affected by it.
More than three years ago, John and Patricia established MoveUkraine to direct their experience and resources toward rebuilding the country. Since then, the MoveUkraine team has been implementing social and humanitarian projects across Ukraine: building social housing for internally displaced people and constructing rehabilitation centers for veterans and civilians in need of physical and psychological recovery.
Each MoveUkraine project is a contribution to rebuilding Ukraine and supporting those who have endured the consequences of war. We strive to create spaces where people can not only heal but also feel care, safety, and hope for a new beginning.
We are sincerely grateful to the journalists of Suspilne Ternopil for their attention to our work and the opportunity to share the story of a team that builds Ukraine’s future every day. The story can be viewed on the YouTube channel Suspilne Ternopil.
